Kalachakra Mandala - "Wheel of Time" - Feb 7

Today Losang continues to work on the Mandala of Enlightened Speech which is the second level in the five-story palace of the Kalachakra.

Below is the Northern Gate with six of the nine chambers filled in with dakinis, or offering goddesses, who offer the joy of their music and dance to all the deities of the mandala.

The elephants and snow lions are seen on both sides of the gate. These are all representations, rather than filled in as dots, which can be the case in other parts of the mandala.

The Mandala of Enlightened Speech represents the pure qualities of Buddha’s speech. It was though this vehicle that he could impart the teachings and liberate sentient beings.
